lake Michigan shore line/Mason county | If you were around in the mid to late seventies you couldn't listen to radio, or hang with friends without your ears being filled with KISS. I Hung around the group of farm kids in our little country school and KISS had an almost cult like following. At that time it was the cool thing to be into. Ace was the man! I still can feel those long bus rides home while listening to portable players blasting Ace singing "Rocket Ride". With Ace passing its like a piece of my youth died with him. RIP spaceman. I did get to see him with KISS and full makeup twice. I did see them once with Vinnie, after they took it off. With Ace, and makeup, was a real show. There isn't many popular classic rock bands I haven't seen, Been to 75+ shows, but KISS with Ace was A SHOW. |
