Subject: Truck Driving "injuries"

Central Nebraska

Like many others we are 6 weeks into what has turned out to be a long, drawn out harvest.  Between rain and breakdowns I'm several weeks behind where I would like to be but so far I'm am keeping a good attitude about it.  Up until yesterday my body was doing much better than my equipment but as I was sitting in a tractor yesterday afternoon my right forearm began to ache and using my had to grip anything became increasingly difficult....Oh tendonitis....Welcome back my old "friend".  I've dealt with it numerous other times and its almost always in my right arm (I'm left handed).  I'm certain it was triggered this time from driving semi truck and the 42 times I have been shifting each trip I make from the field to the bins the past 4 days........and then 36 times back to the field........and averaging about 8 trips/day.
