Actually saw a few barges of raw cottonseed going up a couple weeks ago, kinda surprising. I just assumed the lint price was low enough that the gins were trying to push more profit on the seed.
If you can get it transported to a dairy area for a fair price, that’s probably the biggest market, but typically they want meal.
I know myself personally, if I could get it in super sacks I’d prefer that, we just don’t use enough to get it in bulk, and with transportation “here” it’s not cost effective to use in a general ration. | |
