Midwest | I know in SMS, at least with their own Ag Leader monitor data, that you can adjust the timing used to make the yield maps. How far back in time to place the yield points to account for the processing time in the machine until the grain registers on the sensor. Usually 10-15 seconds?
It seems like with JD yield data it's never quite right and you get the sawtooth pattern of red/green on the ends from turning around and any time the machine goes through a waterway. It's also really obvious and bad when there's a distinct good or bad spot in the field that is roughly across the passes. Think a sand ridge, the red streak should be a nice smooth line and it's a jagged back and forth. Can we adjust the timing to get these to line up better? It makes looking at plot data, learning block data, fungicide strips across the rows, etc very very hard if not impossible. |
