Nebraska | I think he’s full of it on the hair but his concern on double checking banded calves is justified. Maybe not on yours specifically but in general, missed nuts are a problem in a set of banded steers. Yeah I know everyone who bands thinks they always get them right but we continue to find belly nuts in banded groups. However, if he wants to check them, I’d say it’s his expense after they sell to check them so they don’t have additional shrink before they are weighed. Your expense only if they find a nut and resell him at a discount kind of like pregging feeder heifers and finding a bred. | |
