Gruver Tx
I’m a long way from your area in Texas and don’t know what the field will look like after the harvest and when that happens. I just finished planting my September mix. 15# oats,15# rye, 2#radish, dumped in a few scraps of Milo. Later I will do some more and it’s just rye. My neighbor is going to plant some triticale on the later side. Rye will sprout at 34 deg. and I have planted into Dec and still got a stand in the spring. The later it is planted the smaller it stays. The early planted stuff will get pretty large in the spring and I have to terminate it well before planting to conserve moisture. The oats will grow large in fall and self terminate when it get cold. I have not had very good luck here spreading it or flying it over a field.
