Sure I did, briefly. I also saw permanent differences in cash expenses and land prices. Observed permanent increases in South American investment and production too.

Commodity production always seeks breakeven prices. Any kind of intervention in the market will have an effect, briefly, and usually a different or no effect long term. Winners and losers, but not always the ones you think. Now we have low prices, huge expenses, and formidable worldwide competition. So did ethanol make irrigated corn production hugely profitable? I say no.
