I planted about 15 acres of bean directly into standing corn stalks. I had a 40 acre field that I emptied my corn planter out in and then planted the rest to soybeans. When planting this spring I just kept planting into the stalks. First time doing this. They came up a little uneven but now they look really good. My question is, the beans into the stalks are really still green but the beans after beans are getting ripe. Is this because of left over corn fertilizer? They don't appear to be any better just green.

They are always a week behind in standing stalks

Due to fertilizer?
