| This can be seen in every Ag sector over the past few years and honestly every sector of the economy. We see the Ag side first hand so we all have more experience in that. How many times over the past 20 years have we all seen mergers/acquisitions that are supposed to bring more efficiency, benefits to producers? I would contend that a very high percentage of these maintains the status quo and no efficiencies or benefits are seen on the front lines by producers. The benefits end up in upper management and corporate profits. Not a good situation that this country has let develop over many years but here we are. What is the catalyst for change? That is the million dollar question. | |
