Central Ontario | I have a 290 and had a left wing on a Salford RTS unfold on the road. It was late in the day and almost dark so I was very lucky not to meet anyone. The cause of mine was the coupler cartridge leaking into the final drive housing. The road I was on had a corner that was banked to the left and the wing tipped over centre and leaked down as I drove along. Big surprise when I saw that hence the reason for the mechanical lock pins. These couplers are a real problem and I have two more that leak down right now. I know they leak because when I have an implement that doesn't have load holding valves and raise it and go to put the transport safety lock pins in its to low by the time I get to the far side. | |
