| I have a 2011 F-150 with the limited slip rear axle. It's making a groaning noise when making tight turns at slow speeds, if a little throttle is applied a slight shutter can be felt. All goes away when going straight. Seems more pronounced on left hand turns. I believe it's coming from the Rear Axle, I changed the gear oil and added 4oz of XL-3 Motorcraft Friction Modifier. Have drove a couple miles since and made a few turns and it hasn't improved any. Anyone have experience with this? Wondering if it could need more modifier or needs drove more to mix the modifier into the oil and coat the clutch linings. Owners manual states it requires 4oz of the modifier. | |
