A yield loss of approximately 12 percent can be expected if both leaves and stalks are killed by a freeze at the half milk line stage. If only the leaves are damaged by the freeze, the yield loss is typically around 5 percent. Death by disease would have similar numbers in my opinion.
It didn’t just die though, it was stressed from disease that got so bad that it killed it. I think it’s worse than freeze or hail. |
