Drone job? That will show on yield monitor with 8 row head. Maybe not on a 16 row.
This was a helicopter, the only drone I know for certain (because I saw it) applied several fields close to this one and they look MUCH MUCH better.
This was of course sprayed across the rows and a with 30’ cornhead you won’t see it on the yield monitor I am guessing.
This is like everything on our farm, if we don’t do it ourselves we are typically not impressed with the way it was done. I HATE hiring critical jobs done!!
There are things to be done to improve aerial applications but in all honesty they will never happen with a plane or helicopter, just too expensive. Proper swath testing to understand your optimal spray height, speed, and width. Moving from 2gpa to 3 gpa etc…. Maintaining that optimal height at all times.
With how fast drone technology is improving I will be surprised if planes and helicopters spray anything in 6-8 years from now.
