Sloughclub was the one who stated that the Carter Embargo cost him, I just told the story as it truly unfolded. There were many things that played into it. I simple pointed out things that happened well before it that set the table, and things that happened after it to show how it was not a single point event.
I think we survived (mostly my dad) because we were not overly leveraged in anything. Had some land debt but not bad. I I recall, dad had zero equipment debt. For us, back to back years of severe drought and 18% interest were killers. We survived. |
