Subject: RE: China and soybeans?

Northern Nebraska
China is the country in which soybeans originated. The peoples there have been using them for a thousand years to make food and feed. About a third of the soy in China is consumed by humans. Think tofu,.bean sprouts, soy milk skin which is dried and used like pasta and most well known fermented and salted as soy sauce.

The other 2/3 is used as livestock feed like you mentioned. There are more people living in rural China than there are Americans total. So the demand for feed on small scales is incredible. These people are subsistence farming livestock. They don't Care about buying your value added steak or pork chop.
