Subject: RE: High voltage power line easement

Illinois
Grain Belt Express isn’t a done deal… we are in the Illinois Supreme Court. Briefs were filed 9/3/25 by Illinois landowners and Illinois Farm Bureau. Constitutional arguments are not allowing due process to impacted landowners and special legislation that passed that gave GBE the right of eminent domain without that process. #2 is questioning if Invenergy has financial backing and customers that have agreed to take power . Past administration thought the DOE and taxpayers would buy the power. There is nothing worse than agreeing to purchase power at a high price the finding it cheaper somewhere else … MISO grid operator has long term plans other transmission projects are in it , GBE is not . I have neighbors that have signed up for CO2 with Navigator to inject CO2 and pipeline easement. Navigator went away but the easement doesn’t. Grain Belt proposes the largest HVDC in the US with no business plan and no customers. Some of our landowners opposed have young families and homes that will be impacted with electrical lines going right next to where they live . GBE has told those people that the line will not decrease the value of their home .
