Subject: RE: lg or ge?

Cherokee County, Northwest Iowa
Wife remodeled kitchen in 2015- all new GE appliances.
Dishwasher-washed dishes ok, but never dried them. She finally got mad after about 6 years, finally ordered a new Cove during the Covid supply shortages-works great, dishes now dry. Did violate my rule of never buy any new model of anything, Cove had just started making dishwashers, but this one worked out ok.
Microwave-fritzed out after about 7 years. Did replace it with the exact same GE model-could get one and it fit in the hole. (Was my idea, keep it simple, it fits. At least i assemblied the drawer that goes underneath it correctly, installer the first time put drawer together upside down, then couldn't imagine why it didn't fit the hole.)
Wall oven- died after 7 years. Bought a new Wolf, had to make hole bigger, wife loves this cooking wise (should, for what it cost).
Refrigerater/Freezer-died after 8 years, replaced with a Bosch, barely fit into the hole in the wall.
Range top-maybe induction, I don't know. Still works fine.

Maybe most appliances are designed to work only 7-10 years, I don't know, but the GE's we had sure didn't pan out very well.
