Chihuahua is the closest I have been and that has been 35-40 years ago. Also by that time we were headed home so travelled through pretty quickly. We had driven down the gulf coast line to Belize, across to the west coast in Mexico so we could visit both coasts then north to home. But not on motorcycle, instead in a little Dodge Raider (Mitsubishi Montero). Enjoyed every bit of it except the traffic in and around Mexico City.
