The 550 was the first new combine we had and it would put a lot more through the front end than the back half could handle,,if beans had one spot of green on the stems it would run fine until the entire back end was plugged tight.. Also replaced every bearing on it within 3 years,,,plus the first time we threw it in gear nuts and bolts came flying out the back. The 850 was a whole lot better
