I've never had anything to do with Discover, so I know nothing about them. Capitol One however was the first credit card I ever had. They were a super pain to deal with getting started. They looked at me being 33 years old and never any credit of any kind as a red flag. Then after a year if paying the balance, on time, every month and never paying them any interest, my card was hacked for $1,7XX. The card had a $300 limit that I had to put in escrow to start the card and pay a monthly fee on top of that. It only took the courts a few months to prosecute and convict the scammer. It took Capitol One almost 2 years to clear my credit score. The scammer used a roller copy of my card on which he spelled my first and last name wrong, an address of a road that did not exist, in a town 25 miles from here, in hand writing and signature that was no where near close to mine. SCREW CAPITOL ONE!

What year was this? I haven’t seen credit card roller in 15 years or more.
