oregon		Congrats!! It looks like he has done well and accomplished a lot. That is a lot to be proud of.

I'd like to share a story like yours, but I'd rather talk about my dog than my kids. j/k

fwiw, starting salaries for engineers in 1981 were in the $19,000 to $23,000 range on the West Coast.

It's good to see fine young adults out there.
