One other thing about biopsies

If you are going to have a biopsy, make sure you understand the Gleason scale. Its a little more complicated than just G6 or G7 or G8. A G7 can be a 3+4 or a 4+3. the latter being a worse G7. they will also talk about percentages in each core. When you get the results from the Dr on the biopsy, hes gonna throw a lot of numbers at you, If you know about them before hand, you can understand what hes saying

I have talked to guys who went to get their biopsy results, I asked them what he said. they replay "i dont know, he told me a bunch of numbers, i dont know what they mean." Sitting there having someone tell you that you have cancer, you kinda go numb, its hard to absorb it all, and if you had no clue about grading before you go in, you'll be completely lost.

Take someone with you to the post biopsy consultation, they may remember some things that you may not. My wife went with me, and I also had a small digital recorder that I recorded the office visit. Later driving home, I said I think the Dr said this.....my wife thought he said something else. We referred back to the recording and found out we were both wrong.
Agree. RECORD all your meetings if you have someone with or not.
