Joelt, my doc never does the finger test , psa but no finger , god I hate those , my numbers are checked every 6 months and they vary around but never over 3.9 , no family history for whatever that’s worth , deep down I’m saying if you’re ok or just mostly ok with your doc doing the finger just keep doing the unbelievably embarrassing crap , probably worth it , I’m embarrassed to not be getting the test too , heck if I know


Do you know what the Dr is looking for with the digital finger thing? He is feeling for a "LUMP". He does this to find a possible location that needs further testing for cancer.
If someone can save me from suffering from cancer by doing that, I will do it.
Keep getting the PSA test, its a steady rising PSA that ring the bell for further testing.
