| Wife's XT4 was like that; only she was in the seat the whole time.
It couldn't start so I pulled the neutral release lever. This immediately engages the electronic parking brake. Ok, no problem, just push the parking brake switch... Except every time I stopped winching while loading or as we cautiously rolled it off the ramps later, the dang brake kept re-engaging automatically. That car was pissing me off so bad I was about ready to yank the battery.
What's worse is later model years removed the manual release. You're expected to somehow crawl underneath this low-slung SUV and temporarily install the release cable assembly. Totally asinine. | |
