south east SD | Had a tornado 35 years ago and it blew a barn into a neighbors field. Acreage guy moved out and never helped with clean up.
I had a barn that my grandfather built in 1918. Hadn’t used in years, didn’t fit anything I needed.
I kept thinking of the mess it would make if it got blown down. So one day I told all my brothers and sisters what I was going to do and why. Then I hired a track hoe and tore it down. Sad to see it go but with no use it was gonna need expensive repairs to keep up so I moved on. | |
