nw NC | I agree, oats. Most likely a stray oat seed from a combine or storage bins in seed bagging operation.
I planted some oats to grow for silage harvest. It has some canola growing in it. No doubt seed oats came from canola growing regions of northern USA or Canada. Must be hard to get combine or grain storage facilities totally free of other crop.
