Subject: 1775nt down pressure leaks off

swmn
Just finished up our first season with a 2015 1775 ccs planter. All in all it went really well but the one question I have is should the in cab adjustable air down pressure work to maintain constant pressure in the bags throughout the day? I know that I have some slow leaks that I intend to fix but I figured that if I set 120lbs of downforce for example, the system would try to maintain that by airing up the bags periodically. Instead it seems to adjust to target pressure initially and then allows air to bleed off until I manually raise the target pressure. It will then add air to hit the target and the cycle repeats. Is this the normal operation of the system or is something going on? This is just the passive air downforce with the electric compressor, tank on the back of the ccs platform, and electric over air valve manifold mounted on the tank. It's controlled through the VT. The compressor builds tank pressure fine and the bags air right up as soon as I command a higher pressure so I think everything is mechanically sound. When the pressure gets 20lbs less than commanded a red warning shows in the the VT to check pneumatic downforce so I assume everything is working as it should and I just need to fix my leaks, but just wanted to know what some folks with experience with this system think.
