Doesn’t everyone deal with point rows? Everyone does something different. We like to plant 3 rounds clear around the field first(40’ planter—120’). Makes it easy to spray around the outside of the field with 120’ boom and not deal with any point rows.
We plant every square foot, otherwise the weeds take over.
Same here. Plant 36 rows all around the fields, then plant the straight rows. I have curves and point rows, and where the headlands/end rows meet the straight rows on the points, I pull a 6 row cultivator through there (following the headland/end rows) to take out the excess. Otherwise the corn amounts to skinny stalks with no ears because of crowding. |
