The Internet

Climate and animal welfare biased BS has infiltrated all of the land grant universities.     The economics of the industry don't lie.

If pasture farrowing produced pork cheaper (all costs including labor/cost of living), it would take over pork production and Neiman wouldn't have to pay a premium to get people to produce it.

Just been told that the UK national pig herd is in the region of 330,000 sows with up to 60% of them outside. Our maritime climate will help this.

Before you ask, there is no, zero, zip, nothing subsidies for pigs, but a huge amount of animal welfare and environmental legislation that affect how pig slurry is handled, stored and applied. Slurry isn't a factor on outdoor units.
