Gonna custom feed cattle out of a confinement and wanted some help with numbers. Gonna get .45/hd/day plus a feed markup. How much can I expect to make on feed markup fattening out yearling steers? 650 head barn. All the feed will come from town so I will bill out the cost with a markup?
Doesn’t your COOP charge a markup on feed and grinding+mixing? Like 10-15 cents above their “buy” bid?
If they’re charging a markup and you’re going to markup the feed some more, how does the cattle owner make any money? |
