Mid MO | 5 or 6 yo cow. Vag prolapse stitched by vet 2 wks ago sat. Checked her a couple times and looked to be doing OK. I got sick and was out of commission for the last couple days. I checked cows this morning and find this. I've stitched plenty of ewes. I watched the vet stitch her. I've seen full uterine prolapses stitched. Haven't seen a restitch. What do I need to know to stitch her? I was going to lace her up like a football. She's got a purse stitch in now. Figured just leave what's there alone and stitch over top.
I know she's too thin, will be put in the feeding pen to raise the calf and get wheels asap. Will be marked slaughter only for sure. Sure is a pity, she's got a nice black, bull calf.
Hesitant to take her back to the same vet.
Any advice is appreciated.
