I have friend in eastern Kansas with mushrush base, he’s made it work with brome and some fescue pasture, coming from mushrush native bluestem prairie. Awesome set of cows. You mention December weights, my friends steers will be 700’s in November at weaning after getting done with harvest, no supplement during harvest.
