Southwest MN | We have a 7 strand 6 hot for sheep. 2nd strand from top is ground. Did that mostly as itis the wire crossing H braces and what not so didn't have to worry about grounding issues. For sheep bottom 3 are critical as coyotes "here" will try and run through the fence as they are used to 1-3 strand cattle fence they can run under. Every section of fence has a 6' ground rod in the low spots for moisture. I like to run atleast 3' of ground rod for every joule. | |
