My family saved nails too, along with every other thing from horrible pieces of tin to baling wire etc etc.
I inherited the frugal gene and habits, and know how spoiled we are. Not so sure others do.
It's the Dust Bowl mentality; "Don't throw that away, we might need it someday." I always feel kind of bad about throwing away the glass jars that pasta sauce comes in. |
