I agree with the Yamaha and reliability comments. You may already know this so disregard if you do but pitch of the prop and proper trim of engine are also factors in getting boat to plane out.
Good point, if the prop is too large/"low ratioed" it won't let the engine reach it's peak power. Figure out the engine RPM and if you have any room for improvement, IF you are otherwise happy with the combination. |
