Scpa | Do the quick easy checks. Take off both the turbo pipes and check for oil in them and then check the turbo shaft for any excessive play. Check the blowby tube. Also check the air filters! I've had clogged or just plain old filters causing massive oil consumption. Is it dripping oil and having lots off blowby? As far as starting slowly, fuel filters, check valve in the head, bad fuel pump, bad injectors. Make sure the fuel pressure is up to spec, you might need to get it scanned for that. Also make sure the batteries and starter ar good and not on the weak side. After all that, at the end of the day it's a sterling and those parts are incredibly scarce and super expensive. Like $3000 for the air filter box gasket to the hood. If you can find it. Either Sunbury motors in Sunbury pa or rivers truck in pa buys up any and all Sterling for salvage and parts. | |
