NorthCentral Illinois
A location will help with answering your question. Here in north central Illinois I have been no-tiling into bean stubble quite a few years with out liquid fertilizer used to use but cost of the product got to high to pay for the return
on the investment of the fertilizer. That being said on a farm with low soil test a 10-34-0 mix with some N would probably pay you back would take a few years longer to pay for fertilizer attachments on the planter. As far as N source
I would inject the N as a sidedness pass being it 32% or NH3 depending on what your supplier would have for application equipment here they don't charge for the equipment if N is bought from them.
