Subject: Litter Spreader vertical vs spinner

Looking for a budget litter spreader, in not spending 100k. plan is 1000 ton/ year. Located in cattle country with lots of good used vertical beater spreaders and basically no used spinner litter spreaders with in 100 miles. litter is composted, its less than 30% moisture. I do stock pile in fields and try and push it up into one big pile but it can and seems to usually get rained on no matter how short term it is.

Do i need to stick to looking for a spinner even though there will be part of the pile with a wet crust? I hear those can plug with wet litter

Or will a vertical beater handle my dry litter well enough for a good spread pattern?
