If you can't get the *itch in, just let her die trying, or just take a dead calf as a cost of doing business? I can think of 2 neighbors that have cows they can't dependably get corraled. What do you guys do with cows like that when they get out? More you try to get them in the harder they run. My tolerance for that has wained in my grumpy older age. Our cattle are feed truck broke, meaning hydra bed and cake feeder. Rarely have to assist a cow or heifer for that matter. Sometimes one gets lost, I guess it's the cost of doing business. Run multiple herds and multiple locations, sometimes I can't be everywhere at the same time. No horses here except for my Honda. For some reason I've had several cattle out over the last few weeks. Pull up honk the horn and they come running.
