I recommend not doing it. It takes a bunch of time during planting when you’d rather be doing other things, you typically only save $3-$5/ac total (from my experience), and it’s just an additional headache to deal with.
It seems like a good idea, but I don’t think it’s worth the extra hassle unless you’re going to put 10k+ units a year through it
