Depends how big etc. you either want several locations or larger area to get accurate.

I tend to do 4-8 row plots and put a check every 7-8 products. I have 4-6 plots through my territory and like 6-1000 feet plots wherever I can eliminate variability. They encompass different soil types and yield levels.

My way there is too large of an LSD to take single location results but generally after 4-6 plots I can identify placement and performance.
