The 10R1000 and the Ford 10R140 are siblings. They were co-designed by GM and Ford and GM was licensed by Allison to "brand" their transmission as an Allison, Ford has tweeks to theirs. Dodge in 2025 will be going to a ZF powerline transmission. Which is currently being used in the Medium duty trucks right now.

WRONG!!!! If I had a dollar for everyone that thinks this I'd be rich. The transmissions in the light duty trucks (F150, Silverado 1500 etc.) are the ones that were co-designed. The HD transmissions do not share any design features whatsoever. And before anyone comes back at me and says I'm wrong, find me a link with data that specifically mentions the HD transmissions. I'll give you a hint: there isn't one because they weren't co-designed.
