Lookin for suggestions from ag talkers on what hydraulic planter drive would be best,  currently have a Lawson system, 3 unit on a 60 ft planter, it works fine when it’s in the mood, it quits and you might shake the wire harness and it works again. Not the same place the next time, talk to ag express about new wiring harness, said they would need to take a look at the harness. Would like a system with good support . Think I would like a stand alone system, use Deere, ag leader, and one more can not think of right now..

Who's wiring harness controls the Lawson drives? I have never been around a Lawson drive, but if it's the harness, then you probably should look there instead of new hydraulic drives...I don't care whether they are White, Deere, Kinze, etc's hydraulic motor and valve, if the harness running them is junk, the problem is still a problem.

That being said, I have run Factory White controls both ISO and old school hydraulic drive, Precision Row Flow, Ag Leader hydraulic seed rate modules, and a little bit of Deere's Greenstar controller to control hydraulic drives. If properly configures, they all work fine...all you're doing is controlling a valve and watching a speed sensor. I've also made White controls fit a Deere planter, Deere motors fit a White planter, etc. As long as you tell the controller what the valve specs, and gear ratio is, it should spin the shaft the right speed.
