Every open cow is culled here no matter their age. I figure those young cattle are still growing and need every advantage they can get not having to compete for feed with older boss cows. This seems to be a recent phenomenon, don’t recall it in past years but I’m getting old so who knows. If the drop outs are infertile how did they have two calves?
