I love redundancy in our equipment lineup. The thing that most holds me back from having a backup for everything is needing more shed space to store it.
Even used combines are cheap enough that the interest cost of having a spare 10-15 year old Class 8 combine sitting in the shed isn't that big of a deal.
How long will 90s and 2000s equipment be reliable?
