East Central Arkansas | I have handled and transferred lp gas since I was big enough to start driving a tractor. I know at times you will have gas with a stronger mercaptan smell than other times especially if a old tank has been moved around. I picked up a 100 lb cylinder a while back at a sale that still has a fair amount of gas in it. Of course it got stored up good hauling it home. Opening the valve to clean the fitting out good it seemed to stink more than normal. Had really intended to drain and clean out good with alcohol but haven't got it done. It's been sitting for more than a year now and when I bled some vapor off doesn't seem near as bad. So when you burn that gas does that mercaptan smell tend to dissipate. Would be using for a large gas grill and would hate for my meat to smell and taste like mercaptan. | |
