Unless you plan on putting 10,000+ hours on it, you will likely never wear out mild steel as long as you grease it. The weld shop at work stocks 3 different sizes of thick wall pipe in 20 foot lengths that matches 3 common rod diameters. It's used for hinges on things they build. It's probably all A36. Staking the pin and putting a grease fitting in other bushing will last a long time.
