Wisconsin | One way would be to find aftermarket pins and bushings for Case, or maybe Cat?, equipment, and make the bores to fit the press in bushings. Weld in a turned bore that will fit the bushing, to do it correct for a high hour lifetime the bores should be line bored before the bushings are installed. Then replace before the bushing spins in the housing.
A lower cost, lower life alternative would be scrap hydraulic rod in mild steel bores. Is the grapple going to get 100 hours in it's life, or several hundred a year? | |
