The insurance company is the one who reports to Carfax, not the body shop. I bought a car several years
ago with a clean carfax, but it had been in a front end hit. The previous owner paid for it himself. And in the file
I got with it had a copy of the body shop bill....
So Carfax catches most things but not all. |
