| quote from Union Swiss:
Part of people refusing to buy parts rings true.
I run a lot of Gehl equipment yet, and people always jump to "parts aren't available!"
Yes they are, and I've ordered them from the dealer at reasonable prices. As long as there's a demand for the parts, they'll keep making them
I have heard the same things about my Molines, it is getting to be sort of true ( M670 Super ring gear NLA,58 years old, only used that one for 4-5 years in one model, probably is a work around if push comes to shove) so couple of years ago I bought a bunch of stuff maybe $1000 for it and the Super Jetstar 3 of things I can expect to need in the next say 15-20 years that may get hard to source. Did I miss something probably but those tractors have always been flat out reliable and is in decent shape, even though it does not get much use is still a good backup for a lot of jobs for me. I see once in a while comments made on here how much more productive and easier to operate the newer ones are and not saying that is not true, but there are alot of smaller operations that around yet that put only few hundred hours on 2-3 tractors a year that the cost to get to that level and benefits just simply do not pencil out. My understanding is that their are parts for 4020's also NLA, might be in the power shifts, not sure, so no color immune. | |
